Sarah, Pained and Tall

  • Mood:

My latest grooviness

I have not fallen off the face of the earth!

(wild applause)

I've been busy skulking around the psych department at school, wethering multiple meetings with multiple profs.

Friends, it has all finally come to fruition.

I'm doing my own research project!!

I've designed it, I'm running it, I'm writing it up -

- and I'll eventually present it at conference.

I am so stoked. I'm finally doing what I thought I'd be doing as an undergrad all along!

I just wanted to share this with yall, as I figured that this crowd would appreciate the experience.

Sarah, also a Renaissance Woman...

Good for you, Sarah! That's the sort of news I love to hear.

I gotta say, one of the things I love about this group of people, even though it's small, is the positive energy aspect. I do belong to another group for gifted adults and so many of the posts have to do with the negative aspects of giftedness, of which there are many. I truly do empathise, but it's great to communicate with people who are fulfilling their potential, too.

dub ;o)
Glad to add to the positivity! I, too, enjoy this community for the same reason!

Were you in GT-Adults? I've been dying to ask you. Someone on that list also signs off with "Cheers".
Yep, that was probably me. I was on gt-a as "Elizabeth" (my real name.)

Did you post there, or just lurk? I can't recall seeing posts, but there are usually many! I still read their digest every day, but seldom post now.

dub ;o)
Wow, small world!

I posted sporadically and signed off with my real name. I often added some odd title to my name like "Obsessive Psych Geek" and such. I dropped the list in July because I was going to be out of town for a month, but neglected to sign back up when I got back up to school this year.

I think that GT-A was useful for the 6 months or so that I was on it, but I'm not sure that it would be good for me now. A GT should be aware of the negativity that can be assigned to them by others and that they can create, but too much would bring one off balance. Thus, I have not re-signed up for the list.

I do miss Frost, though. I had more fun participating in her style of poetic banter!

Oh, yes, I love frost, too. That's Laura, isn't it?

Maybe we should both write to her off-list and invite her to join Cheetahs&Swans...what do you think?

Yes! Frosty Laura! Man, I miss her. She would dig this list. What a splendid idea!

I've got to find her email address. Do you still have it?

I've got AN address for her...e-mail me at and I'll send it to you.

Oooh, this is going to be so NEAT!
